Performance claims should be traceable to a document. This page explains what the documents mean and what we require before publishing anything.

What a certification actually tells you

Certification is specific. It applies to a tested product configuration, for a named contaminant or property, under defined test conditions.

Standard or test method

The published method the product was evaluated against.

Contaminant or property

Exactly what was measured — not a general claim of purity.

Rated capacity and flow

The conditions and volume the rating applies to.

Issuer and date

Who certified it, and when the record was issued.

Exact model

The specific model and configuration tested.

Review status

When Liquid Tec last reviewed the supporting document.

Reading a report

Component certified vs. system certified

These are not the same claim, and the difference matters when you compare products.

A certified component

A single part — a filter cartridge or membrane, for example — has been tested on its own, under stated conditions. That result describes the component, not necessarily the complete system it is installed in.

A certified system

The complete assembly, as sold and installed, has been tested as a unit. This is a stronger claim because it reflects how the product actually performs in use, not just how one part performs in isolation.

When a claim only names a component, ask whether the finished system carries its own certification. A component certification does not automatically transfer to the assembled product.

Scope

What a report does and does not prove

It proves performance for the exact model and configuration tested, not the entire product family
It proves performance under the stated test conditions, not necessarily your water or your flow rate
It proves a measured reduction of a named property, not that treated water is universally safe or pure
It does not prove or imply any health, medical, or wellness outcome
It is a snapshot from testing performed at a point in time, not an ongoing guarantee
It does not extend to different installation conditions, water sources, or maintenance histories

Certification and laboratory records

No certification records, laboratory results, or contaminant-reduction figures are published yet. Each record will list manufacturer, exact model, standard or method, measured property, rated capacity and test conditions, issuer, date, source document, and last-reviewed date.

Source documents or approved public links are required before a claim appears anywhere on this site, including product and solution pages.

Certification applies to the exact tested system and configuration. It does not extend to every product in a family, every installation, or every contaminant.
